Desktop security, simplified
Overview
Cross-platform desktop security suite that brings enterprise-grade protection to individual users. Core Bastion provides exploit protection, VPN management, firewall configuration, and real-time threat monitoring through a clean, approachable interface — no security expertise required.
The Challenge
Consumer security tools are either too simplistic (basic antivirus) or too complex (enterprise SIEM). There's a gap for power users who want real protection without a security operations center. The tool also needed native performance — no Electron bloat.
The Solution
Built with Tauri 2.x for native desktop performance (Rust backend, React frontend). The Python FastAPI backend handles security service orchestration — exploit detection, VPN tunneling, firewall rule management. Feature-gated architecture allows free/pro tiers. The entire security stack runs locally with no cloud dependency for core functionality.
